Ok folks I need inspration for the dash of the Mk1 I will have to fit a weber box for the 1480 so cant keep the centre clock. anybody have any pic period dash where a weber box is fitted?

Or any Ideas that might keep the period look but still fit the weber box?

You could try it but If the 1380 has any kind of cam in it it wont work as the SPI just wont supply the right fuel,

Leave the SPI in stan, Get your car on the road enjoy the fellow and start saving for a Twin cam conversion. That will give you an engine you can fit to the stud which will pass every emission test under the sun and out perform any 5 port like for like :) It what I would Do.

Its a long wheel base GT model with the Turbo sprinter engine in. Its off the road these days for some fixing but should be up an running again, never been off road on it :)

It really is all about the driver I have managed to give a few civic a run for there money in the G-wagon which handles like the QE2.
