stephen i only came of L plates a number of weeks ago but my insurance with quinn direct was only 700 euros i am 22 and only got driving at 20. yours will be a good bit higher due to your age but still should be under the 2 G mark for a mini.

Well tbh KMG the ones I got for Merlin was the same but I measured the old steel ones and they where well with in the tolerances so I used them I reckoned the plastic ting-me-bobs (the technical name) where just to keep the bush in shape. Neil my car,
has the later type Relay and solenid built into the starter is it possable that Conor car also is wired this way. because the relay also feeds the main fuse box on my car if it is this that has rotted than to quote a Guy

ok so, I just ran your engine number(rover orignal service manual) and this is the specks i came out with: Compression ratio = 8.3:1 Compression Presure = 170 PSI Ignition Timing = 8 deg at 750 RPM so from that data dood you need to re do your compression following the steps in my last post and hope...

same here sore i just got in from replacing the front pasnger side weel bearing. so guese i wont make it eather i have such bad look with weel bearings and i dont even run spacers :roll:

Ok so
First of all can you tell us what year your car and if possable the first few letters of the engine number located just in front of the termostat housing.

The black smoke is most like to be over fueling i.e. Carb.
