i have herd of this its the mega jolt. i would work with the ecu you have go new cam as spi cam is useless!!! after that if you still want more power west waed engineering will port polish ur head fit double valve springs and bigger valves for 350€ only thing about mega jolt you have to change the clutch sensor as the ecu cant read it which is why im working as best i can with mine.

Megajolt works with a throttle position sensor or a MAP sensor, nothing to do with the clutch.

What Minis have you?: Mk1 Austin Mini,Mk3 Layland Mini,72Van,81 Clubman Estate, 87 Race carand a 2000 Rover Cooper.
Modifications: Mk1: 998 with flat top slipper pistons, 286 cam, 12G940 head 11:1 compression twin inch and a half SU's 5 speed gearbox. Mk3 998 automatic no mods, 72Van is a pile of rust, , Racer is being built but has the works and the 2000 rover cooper needs an engine again :(
Location: Dublin
dont forget Mark that the engine has to come out an be striped to fit a cam, the cylinder head will also need work as well as valve geometry to see any power increce,

I have fitted one of these SC ECU it is a neet piece of kit and worked well with the mods I done to the engine,
regards,

Paul.

Yes you have to programme them when you fit them, but there are plenty of ignition maps available on the web for you to try, programming is done via a lap-top which plugs into the MegaJolt and this makes changing maps a very simple process.

Both myself and Woody have started on fitting Megajolts to our cars, next thing to do is to sort the looms out.

Autosport Labs who make the Megajolt also make the MegaSquirt for those wishing to go the fuel injected route. 8)

There are no mods to the Mini's loom, but you need to make up a separate loom to connect the sensors to the MegaJolt itself.
